HB Suggested Tournaments – Week 2

The three official tournaments that we set up last week proved out how popular the handicap system actually is.
The Pro Tour had 48 entrants.
The Amateur Tour had 13 entrants.
The ProAM Handicapped tour on the other hand had 145 entrants.

From my point of view, having the Scout Cam turned off and playing a course you don’t know made this a real challenge but some people had no issues at all.

This tournament wasn’t as well attended as The Pro Cup but the handicap restrictions really made it a novices only competition. Having the ability to limit the entrants on handicap gave the non-elite among you the chance of a shot at some silverware. Congratulations to Davikovsky, we hope this victory drives you on to improve that handicap and compete in the Pro tournament in the coming weeks.

Having this tournament Handicap scored really brought the scores closer together. There were only 25 shots over 4 rounds between 1^st place and 145^th place. That stat and the fact that nearly 300% more people played this tour, in my mind proves out that people prefer leveling out the competition than just using their raw score.
