Chavon River Course Guide
Chavon River is a 6,660 yard Tropical layout playing to a par of 70. The mountainous terrain creates some nice elevation changes. #4 requires a precise drive as you make your way down the hill on this long par 4, dogleg right. You finish up the front nine on a beautiful par 3 with a tee shot over water. Don’t let the palm trees swaying in the breeze lull you to sleep. You will need to be on top of your game to close out the front side with a par or better.
#11 is a long par 4 that plays downhill. The view off the tee is spectacular, and if the wind is with you, prepare to launch a bomb that will get tons of roll. The 15th hole plays to just 301 yards but do not expect this hole to be a pushover. Down wind, you might be licking your chops to drive this green but water short left and behind the green will have you thinking twice. The play is to leave the driver in the bag as a 3-wood will leave a really short iron into the green to set up a birdie chance. The 18th hole finishes along the beautiful Chavon River. Don’t let the amazing view distract you from the task at hand. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the view over a beverage in the clubhouse after your round.
