It’s been a couple of weeks since Koch Media/Deep Silver released the game on disc into the PAL regions (Europe, Australia and South Africa). This now means with Maximum Games releasing to North and South America we’re out on disc in the shops of all the major places we wanted to be. It’s quite the achievement.
When we conceived the idea of The Golf Club it was only ever meant to be a downloadable product. So for an indie studio to have managed to get noticed by publishers and get their help to get the build onto the shelves has been great.
Not only does it open us up to a different audience, away from the gamers and into the Walmart, Curry’s, etc consumers, it gets us a bit of their expertise of getting the game into reviewer’s hands. Over the last few weeks we’ve had a number of positive reviews which I thought I’d highlight.
